Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff across hospital facilities in Cincinnati. You will patrol, respond to alarms, enforce policies, and support emergency management and parking operations.

Responsibilities include inspecting for hazards, documenting incidents, directing traffic and parking, escorting personnel, and performing routine system checks to protect people and property.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and completed police training.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to deal with the public effectively.
• Valid driver's license with appropriate endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital property to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Conduct inspections and document hazards or safety concerns.
• Enforce hospital policies and procedures; appear in court if necessary.
• Investigate and document incidents; prepare clear reports.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; manage traffic flow.
• Direct and control traffic/parking; issue citations or tow violators as needed.
• Operate security and fire system components; perform monthly inspections.
• Escort personnel to and from cashier's office and other locations for safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department management.
