Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. The role involves unarmed patrols in a hospital environment, monitoring CCTV and alarms, and preparing detailed reports. This safety-sensitive position may require drug screening, TB testing, and certain vaccinations as policy dictates.

Responsibilities include de-escalation, patient transport to morgue when needed, and escorting patients from the helicopter pad to the emergency room. Pay rate is $18.49/hour in Florida.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements are state/local dependent and may be required prior to employment.
• Minimum of two years of verifiable employment history in customer service or protective services.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Problem solving and active listening abilities.
• Ability to assess situations quickly and accurately.
• Ability to mediate conflicts with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to write clearly and accurately.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or vehicle; document observations.
• Assist staff with de-escalation and restraining as needed within guidelines.
• Transport patients to morgue as required.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to Emergency Room when needed.
• Assist with evacuations during emergencies.
• Sound alarms or call authorities in case of fire or unauthorized access.
• Warn violators of infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Ensure only authorized individuals access hospital premises and prevent contraband.
• Observe and document security-relevant events.
• Investigate incidents and maintain logs.
