Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed for a hospital environment in Indiana. The role involves unarmed foot/vehicle patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and report writing. TB test and drug screening may be required due to safety-sensitive duties.

Pay rate is $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities include de-escalation, escorting patients, evacuations during emergencies, and maintaining security of entrances/exits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle may be required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment history relating to customer service or protective services.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state.
• Able to operate radio or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Active listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations of unusual conditions.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary.
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter and exit.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
