Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a full-time evening security professional for the College Hill campus to monitor access, assist clinical staff, and ensure safety across buildings and grounds. You will respond to routine complaints, manage visitor policies, and patrol the hospital environment to protect patients, families, and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and annual TCI certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to complete TCI training and obtain certification within 6 months of start date.
• Physical strength, stamina, agility, and control to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Respond to, investigate, and address routine complaints from patients, parents, visitors and employees, coordinating with expert resources as needed.
• Direct and monitor traffic and parking, escort patients and visitors, and control building access and badge issuance.
• Assist clinical staff with patient restraint and maintain safety during potentially combative situations (annual recertification required).
• Patrol hospital buildings and grounds by vehicle, foot, and bike; ensure only authorized personnel access; report safety hazards per codes and standards.
• Manage visitors by communicating policies and enforcing approved visitors, providing appropriate badging and access.
