Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is looking for a security officer to protect patients, visitors, and employees. You'll be responsible for ensuring safety through inspections and responding to calls for assistance.

The ideal candidate must be a High School Graduate and have completed required Ohio training programs. This part-time position involves evening or night shifts at 16 hours a week, and it requires effective communication skills. Work schedules will include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work evenings (4 p.m.-12 a.m.) or nights (12 a.m.-8 a.m.).
• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and be insurable under the hospital’s liability policy.

Responsibilities

• Protect Hospital’s Patients, Visitors, Employees, and Property.
• Make periodic inspections of all hospital premises and respond to calls for assistance.
• Escort hospital employees and visitors to and from parking lots as required.
