Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a Security Team member to safeguard patients, families, staff, and visitors across all locations. You’ll respond to requests for assistance, partner with clinical teams, and maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility, following policies and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities include patient watches, restraint support, incident documentation, and collaboration with the Security team to ensure a safe environment in routine and emergency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: healthcare security preferred, but not required.
• Preferred: coursework in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day security operations across locations with patrols and safety checks.
• Respond to calls for service and emergencies; provide guidance to staff and visitors.
• Assist clinical teams with patient watches and approved restraint procedures.
• Provide courteous service and collaborate with Security team and partners.
• Follow hospital procedures for safety, emergency response, and incident reporting.
