Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking a Security Dispatch Operator to support daily security operations. The role monitors cameras, receives calls, and dispatches officers and units to locations across the facility, ensuring timely response and accurate recordkeeping.

The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to coordinate with field units, law enforcement, and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• CT Security Officer license preferred.
• Preferred certifications in OC Spray, Baton, Taser, Handcuff, tactical driving.
• Preferred certifications with Safety/Security related organizations including OSHA, NFPA, FEMA, IAHSS, IFPO, ASIS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and log information.
• Dispatch Officers and units to locations.
• Monitor status of field units and coordinate schedules.
• Interact with law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain logs and ensure compliance.

Education

State of CT Security Officer license

OC Spray certification

Taser certification

OSHA certification

NFPA/IAHSS/IFPO/ASIS certifications
