Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking Hospital Security Officers for Wexford Hospital to maintain a safe and secure healthcare environment. Full-time roles offer a $17.00 per hour wage with multiple shift options and a schedule that includes weekends.

You will be trained and supported as part of a dynamic team protecting staff, patients, and visitors. Officers provide customer service, monitor premises, and respond to incidents while upholding hospital safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, or unauthorized individuals.
• Orally and physically de-escalating individuals, as needed.
• Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite admittance to the facility.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, or hazardous conditions with calm urgency.
