Job summary

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, staff and visitors at hospital locations in Ohio. The role supports the Safety & Security Department with a professional presence and responsive incident handling.

Responsibilities include patrolling, assisting with escorts, and enforcing hospital policies while maintaining a calm, safe environment for everyone on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass Essential Function Test (EFT) prior to employment.
• Experience in Hospital Security, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Military or other Public Service entities preferred.
• Associates Degree in Public Service or enrollment in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement preferred.
• Hazardous Material Awareness & Operations Level training preferred.
• Non-Violence Crisis Intervention Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect people, property, information and reputation of Avita Health System; enforce organizational rules.
• Greet and assist or escort patients/visitors; patrol facilities to deter threats and maintain safety.
