Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Security Guard to protect life and property on campus. Primary duties include patrolling and preventing fires, theft, and vandalism, with attention to age-specific needs when escorting visitors and staff.

Responsibilities also cover inspecting doors and locks, responding to emergencies, and screening parcels to prevent loss, while ensuring only authorized personnel access hospital premises and maintaining patient safety.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience in security or law enforcement or equivalent
• High School Graduate/Equivalent
• Current Guard Card required
• Assaultive Behavior Management certification within 45 days of hire
• Current CA driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Inspect doors, windows, and locks to determine level of security.
• Escorts visitors, patients and personnel to and from parking areas with consideration for age specific needs.
• Patrols parking areas to detect any irregularities.
• Responds to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct or combative patients.
• Inspects outgoing parcels as necessary to prevent theft of hospital property.
