Job summary

Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield, ME, is seeking a PRN Security Officer to support hospital operations and patient safety. You will patrol, respond to incidents, complete reports, and assist in restraining patients when needed, while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice preferred; 3–5 years in hospital security or related fields; Maine driver’s license; and IAHSS certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; reading and writing ability essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or MCJA preferred.
• 3–5 years hospital security or similar experience preferred.
• Valid Maine driver’s license with clean record.
• IAHSS certification within 180 days; MOAB training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains hospital security through patrols and safety checks.
• Investigates incidents and documents reports clearly.
• Performs dispatcher duties and supports 24-hour coverage as needed.
• Provides valet services, patient transport, and emergency assistance.
