Job summary

Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital, part of Northern Light Health, is seeking a PRN Security professional in Pittsfield, Maine. You will patrol hospital facilities, enforce regulations, report hazards, and support patient and staff safety with strong customer service skills.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred credentials including a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or MCJA Law Enforcement certification, and 3–5 years of relevant security or hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related discipline preferred; MCJA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital security for buildings and assets; conduct patrols and respond to incidents.
• Complete incident reports, log data, and maintain security records and checklists.
• Provide 24-hour coverage and assist with patient transport, dispatch, and security operations as needed.
• Investigate thefts and other incidents; coordinate with law enforcement when required.
• Cross-train in other locations and maintain training records and equipment.
