Job summary

Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe patient care environment. You will conduct rounds, document incidents, and support staff in emergencies, using established safety procedures and the hospital's Use of Force policy.

This role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years of security experience, and readiness to train in safety skills within 90 days. Valid driver’s license and ability to patrol the facility are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must acquire key personal safety skills within 90 days of employment (e.g., handcuff, pepper spray, crisis intervention).
• Must have or be able to attend CPI training program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security/safety rounds of the facility twice during shift. Document findings, identify hazards, test alarm systems.
• Assist in management of aggressive/combative patients; support licensed clinical staff with restraints; monitor high-risk patients in ED; apply Use of Force policy.
