Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Hospital Security Officer in Sugar Land, TX to safeguard a high-profile healthcare client. You will monitor premises, protect staff and visitors, and deliver professional security services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include vigilant observation, patrols, de-escalation, equipment inspections, and patient escort duties as required. Must meet minimum age and training requirements and pass background checks and screenings.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Background check required by law
• Drug screen required
• Licensing requirements may be required before employment
• Post offer, complete training and obtain Management of Aggressive Behavior certification

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, or unauthorized individuals.
• Orally and physically de-escalating individuals as needed.
• Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite admittance to the facility.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, or other hazards with calm urgency.
• May include patient escort or transport of deceased to morgue as needed.
