Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security provider, seeks a Hospital Security Officer to safeguard a high-profile healthcare site. You will monitor premises, protect staff, patients, and visitors, and provide courteous, professional service.

Responsibilities include patrolling on foot or by vehicle, observing for suspicious activity, de-escalating conflicts, inspecting security devices, screening entrants, and responding to emergencies with calm urgency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of security experience relevant to the position.
• Age 21+ for armed roles; 18+ for unarmed roles.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws; drug screen.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local regulations; driver license needed for driving roles if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• De-escalate individuals verbally and physically when needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and staff to expedite admittance.
• Respond to emergencies with calm urgency (fire, medical, bomb threat, weather).
• Escort patients or transport deceased when required.
