Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a hospital security officer for night shifts (7pm-7am). You will patrol grounds, escort patients and staff, and respond to emergencies while enforcing policies and maintaining safety.

The role requires overseeing incidents, documentation, and teamwork with Protective Services. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and OH Peace Officer Training Academy completion; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• BLS, OHPOA certification or IA HSS basic training are valued.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors and staff through patrols and escorts.
• Respond to emergencies and medical/behavioral incidents as needed.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Maintain safety and security equipment and post assignments.
• Enforce hospital policies and respond to alarms and disturbances.
