Qualifications

• Education: High-school diploma or GED.
• Licensure: Valid driver’s license.
• Certification: IAHSS Basic exam within 90 days of hire; BLS within 9 months; Defensive Tactics in Healthcare within 6 months.
• Behavioral attributes include strong interpersonal and written communication to prepare reports.
• Physical Demands include ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Investigates incidents and disturbances to maintain patient, visitor, and employee security.
• Notifies police, fire, and prepares descriptive reports for supervisors.
• Performs patrols of hospital buildings and grounds to protect people and property.
• Investigates hazardous conditions, theft, and safety issues as reported.
• Monitors access control, alarms, and video surveillance systems.
• Controls traffic to ensure emergency vehicle access and patient/visitor safety.
• Provides escorts for staff to their vehicles when needed.
• Responds to emergency codes per department guidelines.
• Enforces hospital policies and maintains a professional service image.
