Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Security Officer for Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale to patrol grounds, screen visitors, and uphold safety protocols. You will respond to alarms, investigate hazards, and assist in emergencies across hospital properties, ensuring a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Required high school diploma or GED with 1 year of healthcare security experience preferred. BLS, Tasers, and a valid driver's license are expected, with IAHSs supervisor certification

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year security experience in a hospital/healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS certification within 2 months of hire.
• Driver's license required.
• Taser certification within 90 days of hire.
• IAHSS supervisor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital properties and ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Screen visitors and enforce access control policies.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies promptly.
• Document incidents, maintain daily logs, and report findings.
• Assist in staff training and security operations as needed.
• Support law enforcement during events and incidents.
• Represent HonorHealth positively as a brand ambassador.
