Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience as a security officer involving extensive public contact.
• Arizona Driver's License required.
• American Heart Association BLS card within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner to incidents such as violent or unruly patients, visitors, crimes in progress, opening doors, and emergency codes.
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor alarms and dispatch officers to needed locations; report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Know emergency procedures, investigate security breaches, write incident reports, and HIPAA breach reporting when witnessed.
• Log activities in a daily log and write clear reports; use proper codes in dispatching security officers.
