Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a security professional to join the Memorial Medical Center (MMC) Security Operations team. The role supports the ED Security Controller and safeguards assets, staff, patients and visitors on site, including armed response when required.

Applicants must have completed a certified police academy, maintain applicable licenses, and have experience with off-duty police work. The position emphasizes safety, protocol adherence and proactive patrols across the hospital campus.

Qualifications

• Certified police academy completion (PTI or equivalent) required.
• Must maintain applicable licenses for armed security work.
• Experience with off-duty police work through a local agency required.
• Proficiency with protective equipment, restraints and weapons.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies at MMC and escalate as needed.
• Observe and report security incidents to protect staff and patients.
• Conduct regular site patrols and inspect security devices.
• Prepare logs and reports as required.
• Complete annual Computer Based Learning modules.
