Job summary

North Adams Regional Hospital is seeking a Safety and Security Officer to monitor campus safety, observe procedures, and document incidents. The role covers varied tasks on all shifts to ensure facilities, property and personnel remain secure under established policies and procedures.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and be prepared for de-escalation training and CPR within six months. English communication and MRI safety completion are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospital environment preferred.
• De-escalation training within six months of accepting position.
• CPR training within 6 months of accepting position.
• Ability to speak, read and write English clearly.
• Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to assess potentially violent situations and restrain if needed.
• MRI safety module completion required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document safety and security across campus facilities and property.
• Respond to incidents and de-escalate when necessary.
• Safely restrain patients/visitors as required and diffuse confrontations.
• Adherence to policies and procedures with prompt reporting.
