Job summary

Southern NH Medical Center is seeking a security officer to help maintain a safe patient-care environment. You will conduct rounds, document findings, manage aggressive patients, and assist with restraints as needed.

You will also document incidents and maintain logs, support emergency evacuation operations, and respond to hazardous materials incidents. Requirements include 1–2 years of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and CPI training or willingness to complete training within 90

Qualifications

• Requires 1–2 years of related security experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license for mobile patrol.
• CPI training or willing to attend within 90 days.
• Must acquire key personal safety skills within 90 days (handcuff, pepper spray, crisis intervention).

Responsibilities

• Conduct security rounds twice per shift; document findings, correct hazards, test alarms.
• Assist in managing aggressive/combative patients and apply restraints as per policy.
• Document security incidents and maintain daily activity logs with clear reports.
• Facilitate use of emergency evacuation heliport and adhere to safety policies.
• Act as first responder for Hazardous Materials incidents and coordinate outside resources.
