Job summary

Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin, IN, seeks a Room Service Specialist to provide patient meal service via room service or traditional menus. You will interact with patients, families, and clinical staff to ensure accurate diet orders and timely meal delivery. On-the-job training is provided, with occasional data entry and inventory duties.

The role runs 6am-2pm, with every other weekend work, and offers a chance to support patient care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Previous office and computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and families face-to-face and by phone to discuss meal selections.
• Serve meals to patients in a professional, efficient manner.
• Act as liaison between Nutrition Production, Clinical Dietitian and Nursing staff about diet orders and delivery.
• Process diet order requisitions and verify orders meet parameters.
• Conduct data entry and report processing as directed.
• Inventory and stock pantries with supplies daily.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
