Responsibilities

• Serve meals to patients in a professional, efficient manner.
• Instruct patients on the meal ordering system.
• Assist patients with placing meal orders within the physician-prescribed diet.
• Assess patients’ capabilities to utilize the meal order system.
• Alert the patient’s Clinical Dietitian and/or Nurse when further education or assessment is needed.
• Act as the main representative of the Food and Nutrition Services Department on patient floors.
