Job summary

South Texas Health System in Edinburg, TX seeks an Administrative RN supervisor to lead nursing staff when administration is unavailable and to coordinate patient care across departments. The role emphasizes oversight, problem resolution, and adherence to performance standards.

Applicants should have hospital RN experience and supervisory exposure, TX RN licensure (or compact state), and CPR/BLS; ACLS/PALS as required. Weekend/evening/on-call shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hospital RN experience required (Behavioral requires 2 years of hospital RN experience).
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and reporting suspected issues.
• BSN preferred; licensure must be current in Texas or compact state; current BCLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as administrative representative when administration is not present.
• Oversee and guide nursing staff under your supervision.
• Interact with hospital staff and ancillary departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts.
• Identify and assist in resolving patient care concerns and conflicts.
• Maintain performance skills and be available for weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and on-call status.
