Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Two years college in business or materials management curriculum.
• Experience: Prior hospital experience of two or more years or 2 years of purchasing and/or inventory experience.

Responsibilities

• Process acquisitions of inventory and non-stock items.
• Assess utilization patterns and forecast stock needs.
• Select vendors and brands of products to purchase.
• Maintain purchasing records and use the computer materials system.
• Assist storeroom inventory personnel as needed.
• Intercede with vendors to insure continuous supply.
