Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered care in the hospital setting. You will perform delegated PT procedures, document progress notes, and adjust treatments within the plan under supervision.

You will supervise the Physical Therapy aide, coordinate workload, address age-specific needs, ensure safety, and report patient safety issues. Relevant licensure and an associate degree are required; BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in AR.
• Entry-level experience acceptable.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Coordinate workload in the department and supervise the Physical Therapy aide.
• Modify a treatment procedure within the established plan as patient status changes.
• Identify and report patient safety issues.
