Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered care within our hospital setting. The PTA will assist with therapy procedures and document patient progress under supervision, ensuring safety and adherence to the treatment plan.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree, a current PTA license from the Arkansas Board, and American Heart Association BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification.
• Entry level experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate workload.
• Address age-specific needs and ensure patient safety.
• Follow the supervising Physical Therapist's treatment plan.
