Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Plant Engineer III to operate and maintain all plant equipment at Riverside facilities, including boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems. The role also involves water treatment, preventative maintenance, and safety testing to ensure reliable hospital operations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems, reading blueprints, and coordinating maintenance across clinics.

Qualifications

• Three of the following must be met: licensed steam engineer and HVAC knowledge for central plant operations.
• EPA Rule 608 Universal Certification required when refrigeration experience applies.
• Experience in hospital/medical facility operations preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all plant equipment including boilers, chillers, HVAC systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Reads blueprints/schematics, tests equipment, and adjusts controls for safe operation.
• Repairs electrical and mechanical components, and conducts safety tests.
• Keeps logs of operations and coordinates with clinics for maintenance needs.
