Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. Schedule: Monday–Friday 2:00pm–10:30pm with rotating Saturdays and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all ages, specimen handling, data entry, and ensuring accurate patient information. Requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience. Labcorp offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Certification/training may come from an accredited agency if work experience is limited.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable under minimal supervision and flexible for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
