Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. Work Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts. Days will vary between Monday - Friday 6:30pm -7:00am with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include blood collection, specimen handling, data entry, and occasional travel to other sites. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training; 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience required.
• Preferred: 1 year+ phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
