Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. The role involves patient blood collection, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to additional sites as needed. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm with rotating Saturdays and overtime as required.

We value accuracy, safety, and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with phlebotomy training or certification; 1 year of phlebotomy experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification or training program acceptable.
• Preferred: 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system and process billing data as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs of patient and sample data.
• Travel to additional sites as needed and provide excellent patient service.
