Job summary

Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support routine filling, packaging, and clerical duties in the hospital pharmacy. This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit and reports to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor.

Responsibilities include delivering medications, maintaining records, stocking ADM units, and assisting with inventory while adhering to departmental policies and USP standards.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill Surgery, Recovery Room, or other orders for supplies and medications.
• Deliver patient medications and standard stock to patient units.
• Maintain prescribed usage, stocking, and detailed records.
• Restock and load medications into Automated Dispensing Machines (ADM) per schedule.
• Deliver controlled drugs to nursing units as directed by a Pharmacist.
• Check incoming medications and supplies for invoice conformity.
• Report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged goods.
• Rotate shifts to maintain department function.
