Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution. This role involves preparing medications for automated dispensing cabinets, repackaging into unit-dose blister packs, and inventory tasks, as well as documenting medication histories at patient admission.

The technician will assist the pharmacist with routine hospital pharmacy duties and must comply with all hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate.
• Training and Experience: Preferably a graduate of Pharmacy Technician Training Program
• Special Qualifications: Rhode Island Pharmacist Technician 2 License required
• Skills in Math, typing, and computers are necessary.
• Schedule: 40/80

Responsibilities

• Service Standards: Consistently adheres to Butler Hospital service standards.
• Assists Pharmacist in performing routine duties in hospital pharmacy.
• Observes all general hospital policies, guiding principles, and rules and regulations.
