Job summary

The Pharmacy Technician II at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc. performs a variety of duties in the pharmacy and the Cancer Center, including routine filling or refilling medications, sterile IV compounding, chemotherapy preparation, and supply orders.

This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Reports to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and operates within established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license required by state.
• PTCB certification required.

Responsibilities

• Fill orders for cancer center, surgery, recovery, and standard medications.
• Order chemotherapy medications and related supplies.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient units or clinics.
• Maintain stock, records, and restock automated dispensing units.
• Perform aseptic IV preparation following USP standards and chemotherapy prep.
• Maintain confidentiality and operate multiple pharmacy software systems.

Pharmacy Technician State License
