Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support IV admixture preparation and medication dispensing across hospital operations. You will work with Pyxis and WORx systems, ensure accurate labeling, and assist in patient-specific medication delivery.

Responsibilities include handling controlled substances per laws, maintaining inventory, and supporting purchasing functions. A valid NJ license or plan to obtain one within the specified timeframe is required, with a 8-hour workday and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPhT certification or eligible to obtain within 12 months; NJ license within 6 months.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving/delivering meds.
• Basic computer and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete IV sterile technique module including workbook and tests; maintain competency.
• Ensure labeling compliance for IV vials, syringes and compounded products.
• Fill Pyxis stations, scan meds, and enter expiration dates accurately.
• Perform monthly nursing station inspections and address stock outages.
• Process employee prescriptions and enter into the computer system; deliver meds to units.
