Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient and outpatient services under the supervision of staff pharmacists. You will prepare drug orders, replenish Pyxis machines, monitor refrigeration, and assist in daily workflow to ensure medications are available for the clinical team and patients.

Qualifications include a PA RPT Pharmacy Technician license on hire and a High School Diploma or GED; NJ requirements may apply for cross-state entities, with board

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician (RPT) in Pennsylvania on hire.
• New Jersey technicians must register within 180 days; PT Certification Board requirement for NJ entities within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drug orders for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Replenish Pyxis machines and monitor refrigerator temperatures.
• Count, compound and repackage pharmaceuticals per procedures.
• Handle IV preparation and transport to nursing units.
• Assist in billing/crediting and ensure proper documentation of waste.
