Job summary

St. Luke's Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by delivering medications, performing unit dose activities, updating ADT records, and handling IV/Admixture responsibilities.

The role includes floor stock management, outpatient prescriptions, and adherence to federal and state pharmacy laws. The position requires on-the-job training completion within six months and maintenance of active Board of Pharmacy status where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training in each area of the department within the first six months of employment.
• Pharmacy Technicians must maintain active status with State Boards of Pharmacy where they work.

Responsibilities

• Fill medications and IV orders from computer-generated labels and update patient cassette drawers.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and manage nursing floor stock and controlled substances.
• Prepare prepackaged medications under pharmacist supervision using proper technique; maintain logs.
• Prepare parenteral, admixture, anti-neoplastic and Home IV Therapy orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain clean work area and ensure adequate par levels; perform medication area inspections.
