Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital-based team in New Jersey.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will fill medications, prepare IV admixtures and manage parenteral orders while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Applicants should have at least six months of hospital pharmacy experience and be registered or in process for state registration in NJ (preferred) and PA where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with NJ Board of Pharmacy (preferred) and PA Board if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Fills medications and IV orders from computer-generated labels and updates patient cassettes.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas and handles nursing floor stock.
• Maintains CD Module narcotic inventory and performs module re-stocks/returns.
• Prepares parenteral, admixture, anti-neoplastic and Home IV Therapy orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Communicates with staff professionally; answers pharmacy inquiries and documents activities.
• Completes required log books and ensures compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws.
