Qualifications

• Minimum of six months previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Requires successful completion of on-the-job training in each area within the first six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Fills medications and IV orders from computer-generated labels, fills and updates patient cassette drawers.
• Delivers medications to and picks up medications from patient care areas or via pneumatic tube.
• Maintains records for controlled substances and conducts routine medication area inspections.
• Prepares prepackaged medications under pharmacist supervision with proper technique.
• Prepares parenteral, admixture, anti-neoplastic and Home IV Therapy orders under supervision.
• Keeps work area clean and maintains adequate par levels.
