Qualifications

• Six months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Registered pharmacy technicians must maintain active status in state boards.
• State registrations preferred upon hire; trainee registration may be required.

Responsibilities

• Fills medications and IV orders from computer generated labels and updates patient cassette drawers.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas and handles nursing floor stock and CD Module inventory.
• Prepares parenteral, admixture and IV therapy orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintains logs, performs routine medication area inspections and ensures compliance with laws.
• Responds professionally to drug information questions and supports other staff as needed.
• Performs admin duties and participates in training of new employees.
