Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will fill medications, prepare IV orders, and support medication delivery and inventory control across patient care areas.

The role requires on-the-job training within the department, drug information communication, and adherence to federal/state pharmacy laws. PA/NJ registration requirements apply as described in the job details.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must maintain active pharmacy technician registration in the applicable state.
• Willingness to register as Pharmacy Technician Trainee within 10 days of hire and complete registration within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Fills medications and IV orders from computer labels and updates patient cassettes.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas and retrieves from nursing floors.
• Performs drug information queries to pharmacists and communicates professionally.
• Prepares parenteral, admixture, anti-neoplastic and Home IV Therapy orders under supervision.
• Maintains logs for controlled substances and ensures proper inventory and security.
• Keeps work area clean, organized, and compliant with medication safety practices.
