Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation and distribution under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role entails filling/labeling medications, Pyxis refills, IV admixtures, and patient-care area deliveries.

Requirements include High School or equivalent, Registered Pharmacy Technician status, and PTCB/ICPT certification. Hospital experience is preferred; 3 years can substitute for certification. Minimum 1 year experience expected.

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician (Registered) and/or PTCB/ICPT certification.
• Hospital experience preferred, including internship hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill and label medications, refill Pyxis, deliver medications to patient care areas.
• Prepare IV admixture solutions; answer the phone and direct calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintain medication stock levels and proper storage; mentor students.
