Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and distribute medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will fill/label medications, refill Pyxis, deliver to patient care areas, and assist with IV admixtures while maintaining stock and proper storage.

Proficiency in basic computer skills is required; hospital experience is preferred, and PTCB/ICPT certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Hospital experience preferred, PTCB or ICPT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill and label medications, refill Pyxis, deliver medications to patient care areas.
• Prepare IV admixture solutions and maintain medication stock.
• Answer the telephone and direct calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintain proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services.
