Job summary

MetroHealth System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies. The role delivers medications to in-house patients and provides take-home medications under a Pharmacist’s supervision, contributing to QC procedures and ensuring alignment with our mission and service standards.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, age 18+, and Ohio pharmacy certification/registration with a 90-day hire window.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
18 years of age or older with no felony convictions per Ohio law.
Certification: PTCB or ExCPT certification within 90 days of hire; maintains certification.
Registration: active Ohio State Board of Pharmacy registration; or registered Pharmacy Technician and becomes certified within 90 days; or willingness to travel to external satellite locations.
Ability to interact with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, deliver pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
Deliver medication-related services to in-house patients and take-home medications.
Assist Pharmacists with quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
Uphold the MetroHealth System mission, vision, values and customer service standards.
