Job summary

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center seeks a Pharmacy Technician II for PRN shifts. You will assist pharmacists in preparing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and keeping patient records to support high-quality patient care.

You will handle IVs and chemotherapy meds with aseptic technique, manage inventory, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with service standards. This role requires Texas pharmacy registration and sterile products certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• One year of hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Texas State Board of Pharmacy Registration.
• Sterile Products (IV) Certification via ACPE or ASHP.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare IVs, IVPBs, and chemotherapy medications with aseptic technique and manage IV room workflow.
• Select, charge/credit, and prepare medications for patients, dispensing machines, floor stock and crash carts; investigate missing meds.
• Deliver medications/IVs and floor stock accurately and timely.
• Complete monitoring and documentation tasks (e.g., temperature logs, expiry checks, shift duties, cleaning logs).
• Assist with pharmaceutical and supply inventory control.
• Perform drug distribution duties as appropriate.
