Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals in Dallas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician PRN to support our hospital pharmacy team across mixed shifts (7:00am - 10:30pm) with rotating weekends. This role emphasizes accurate compounding, dispensing duties, and compliance with USP requirements while collaborating with hospital staff.

You will perform ADC-related tasks, conduct monthly storage inspections, and maintain competency through ongoing education.

Qualificações

• National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required
• Texas State Board Registration required (Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern)
• IV certification preferred
• IV room experience a plus
• 1 -3 years of hospital experience preferred
• Associate's Degree or equivalent level of education preferred

Responsabilidades

• Performs duties associated with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs)
• Accurately performs and documents monthly medication storage area inspections as assigned
• Accurately performs required calculations
• Accurately and safely compounds and labels medications and parenteral admixtures
• Always utilizes aseptic techniques in the preparation of parenteral compounding
• Compliant with all USP 795, 797, 800 daily/monthly requirements
• Identifies critical issues, prioritize workload and communicate to appropriate personnel any issues in a timely manner
• Completes all education requirements and/or other activities needed to maintain competency
• Interacts in person and by phone with hospital personnel politely and appropriately
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement
