Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy for AMG Specialty Hospital – Clear Lake, and we are currently looking for a Pharmacy Manager. Hours of the facility are Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM - weekends and holidays are 7AM-1:30PM. Schedule will primarily be Monday-Friday with occasional weekends.

The Manager, Pharmacy coordinates, directs, manages, facilitates, and oversees clinical and administrative activities. The role ensures efficient delivery, cost control, and compliance with regulatory agencies

Qualifications

• Must be a “good standing” licensed Pharmacist and/or eligible for licensure in Texas.
• 2+ years of hospital pharmacy and preferably hospital pharmacy management experience preferred
• IV certification required
• Ability to develop, implement and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation
• Clear written and verbal communication with health care professionals

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates all clinical activities as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy.
• Plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates all administrative activities as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy.
• Implements process and procedures to comply with regulations for medicine handling.
• Manages day to day activities of the pharmacy technicians and monitors their performance.
• Maintains pharmacist’s certifications and database privileges.
• Provides pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist.
• Assesses and maintains pharmacy inventory and procurement.
• Leads processes for hiring of pharmacy staff and performance management.
• Manages internal workflows of acute pharmacy and staffing.
