Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy for AMG Specialty Hospital – Clear Lake, TX, and is seeking a Pharmacy Manager. Hours are Mon-Fri 8AM-4:30PM with some weekends.

The role oversees admin and clinical activities, staffing, inventory, and budget while ensuring compliance and patient care quality. The Manager coordinates with nursing and medical staff, implements cost-saving processes, and drives operational efficiency in the acute care pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a good standing licensed Pharmacist and eligible for licensure in Texas.
• 2+ years of hospital pharmacy and preferably hospital pharmacy management experience preferred.
• IV certification required.
• Ability to develop, implement and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and evaluates clinical activities as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy.
• Plans, directs and evaluates administrative activities including scheduling technicians and reporting.
• Ensures compliance with regulations for medicine handling and inventory controls.
• Manages day-to-day activities of pharmacy technicians and monitors performance.
• Provides pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist.
• Assesses inventory and procures meds to maintain availability and mitigate risks.
• Leads hiring, onboarding and performance management of pharmacy staff.
• Optimizes staffing and scheduling for efficient acute pharmacy operations.
