Job summary

The role partners with physicians and clinical staff, requires Indiana licensure, and tallies with a track record in retail and leadership; travel to Muncie and Indianapolis is anticipated before May 2027 when on-site duties expand.

Qualifications

• Requires Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy completed before 2006.
• 5–7 years pharmacist experience required.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to dispensing of drugs.
• Management experience is preferred.

Pharmacy Manager

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Retail Pharmacy leadership team in the role of Pharmacy Manager.

Oversees and coordinate the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and its staff. Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee. Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Will assists in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.

This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift with availability to round to evenings and weekends. Pharmacy hours are 8AM-7PM Monday-Friday, 9AM-3PM Saturday, and 9AM-1PM Sunday. This is a manager and staff pharmacist role in one. Ideal candidates will have previous retail and leadership experience. There will be frequent travel to Muncie and Indianapolis before the hospital opens in May 2027, at which point it will become more occasional.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

• Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
• Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
• 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required.
• Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics.
• Management experience is preferred.
